Ada is rather puzzled by all the clothes lying strewn about, and bends to pick up the dress, perhaps to put it somewhere more appropriate than the floor.
She is quickly distracted, though, by the fact that she is no longer quite a she. In her place stands a blond haired, blue eyed young man, much more pretty than handsome with smooth, rosy cheeks and a very, very alarmed expression on his face.
Sylvette isn't one to ignore clothing lying about, especially clothing as pretty as this. Of course she doesn't think about who the clothes might belong to, nor the possibility that they may not be entirely safe. She picks up a large feathered hat and places it on her head lightly. She wanders over to a mirror to see, and rests her hand on the back of a chair as she does so - but instantly shrieks and jumps back as it begins to burn.
Hadley-Bright spends most of his time in the mansion, and so it is not terribly unusual that he should happen to be passing at the time Sylvette causes the chair to burst into flames. Being the brave young gentleman that he is, Hadley-Bright rushes over at once to catch Sylvette about the shoulders and hurry her farther away.
She stares at the chair, a little shocked - she's never seen fire come out of nowhere like that before! "I was nearly burned! Oh, monsieur - you saved me!"
One really shouldn't leave clothes lying about like that, someone might get the urge to touch them. Especially someone like Drawlight who loves touching other people's belongings and loves clothing. He goes over to the dress (which he finds particularly hideous) and looks it over with a slight sneer, picking it up to get a better look at the fabric. He notices almost immediately that his waistcoat isn't fitting quite right, in fact, it has gotten rather tight across the chest.
Drawlight happens to glance up at a nearby mirror and lets out a bloodcurdling shriek.
Drawlight looks up and gasps, though s/he tries to make the sound angry and offended. But the fact that she is blushing rather ruins the effect. "What do you think is so funny, you great--" Drawlight gives a shocked squeak at the (admittedly small) change in his/her voice and covers her mouth.
"Oh no - be wary of the ~hats... they fooled me too." Ginevra stumbles out from behind a smoking sofa, unaware of lynette, and wearing a cloak that seems to sit very heavily on her shoulders. "What, I ask you, is the point of a hat if its only going to ruin the rest of your ensemble?"
