Not one to let a pretty girl walk by without saying anything, he sidles up to the girl in question.

'Hello, are you lost?'

Sylvette gives the boy a smile. "I believe I must be, monsieur. I am quite sure there is not a palace on my father's land! Do you live here?"

He smiles back. 'It's going to sound strange, but I really have no idea if I live here or not. I ended up here by chance. Last time I checked I was in England, but ... Now I'm here.'

"Oh! How exceedingly strange!" Her eyes sparkle. "England?" All Sylvette knows of England she learned in the stories. "Do you know any knights? Are you a knight? Oh, how lovely England must be!"

Sylvette smiles back. "Do you also live in this palace? It is quite beautiful!"

It seemeth so, but late did I reside in Arden, with no palace but the trees. I am as yet a stranger to this place, and it most strange to me. *blushes* Forgive my prattle.

"Oh! It seems there are a great many people here who have only recently arrived." She grins. "I do not mind. What is Arden like? Is it nice?"
