Draco hears a familiar voice and looks annoyed as he says sarcastically, "Oh, wonderful. Just what I need..."

Ron looks briefly to the ceiling, almost as though to ask God why he would put him in such a situation, before sighing and granting Malfoy some attention.

'Of all the people to see today, it had to be you. I'm not going to say anything else.'

He frowns. "Do you remember anything? By your muttering I assume you remember you've been here before..."

He remembers having been to the Mansion before, but not much else. Not wanting to risk giving Malfoy any fodder, he keeps this to himself. 'I'm not saying anything, remember? You too thick?'

He decides to get the not-remembering out of the way "'Lo Uncle Ron."

He looks down at the boy with the striking green eyes, but thinks he has to be mistaken. 'Hello. Sorry, but I'm not your uncle.'

"Yes you are. You're Ron Weasley, right? Brother of Ginny Weasley who married your best friend Harry Potter. They're my Mum and Dad."

He runs a hand through his hair. 'I'm hearing this from your brother. But My sister isn't dating your dad. You're too old to be theirs. I have no idea how this is happening.'

With a grin, Gideon says, "Fancy seeing you here."

'Gideon! Gods, it's been ages.'

"Yeah, it has. What have you been up to?"

Here, at least, is someone who looks happy to see him (and who remembers even less than Ron himself).

He grins with relief. 'Harry! Mate, what the hell is going on here?'

"Beats me," with a shrug. "I only got here a few weeks ago myself. It's a crazy place; loads of people we thought were dead...aren't."

'And loads who really shouldn't exist. I thought I said not to lead Ginny on, but a bunch are claiming to be your son!'

"Hi, Uncle Ron," from a kid who looks suspiciously like a more freckly and less glasses-wearing version of Harry. "Since you, y'know, probably don't remember me, I'm James. Your nephew, Harry's eldest, seeker for Gryffindor quidditch -- I think that's it for now."

He raises his eyebrows in surprise. 'No way. There's ... You're too old be be Harry's. Harry isn't even married or anything! I don't have any nephews ... do I?'

"Yeah, you do. A lot of them, actually." He blinks and shrugs, then grins. "And you're usually older, but then again, so are mum and dad and Prof -- Neville."

Finding the whole thing amusing himself, he grins back. 'Mum and dad, eh? Who's your mum, if some futuristic Harry has a son?'
