"He is not here," Morgause says dryly from the stairs (never let it be said that she can't make a dramatic entrance - skirts trailing, white hand on the rail).

Most children would be intimidated by a woman cutting Morgause's figure; Scorpius would probably be intimidated even if he were an adult, although he tries not to let it show. "Who's not here?" he asks. "Who are you?"

"Merlin," with delicate disdain. "Though if he were, I have no doubt that he would come when called. He could never resist attention."

"I didn't think he was," Scorpius says, with some bewilderment. The interjection was so instintive he hardly realized he said it.

He notices him. And half shakes his head. "Oh, Merlin."

"Let me guess. A Malfoy."

"Yes. Who're you?"

"Do you need some help there?" The boy looks remarkably like Draco, and Armand is burning with curiousity.

Scorpius turns toward him and does a double-take; he wasn't expecting someone so obviously a muggle to be here. "No," he says, pocketing his wand as discreetly as he can and hoping he's not been seen doing magic. "I'm all right on my own."

"Are you certain? You seem lost. And you look like--" But he shakes his head.

"I'm all right," he says, trying his best and muchly succeeding at not looking frightened.

Harry gives the boy a shrewd, curious look. "Malfoy...?"

He only glances at Harry momentarily before turning back to his books, noting the similarity to James the younger and Albus but not his scar. "Yes. You're a Potter, aren't you? You look like one."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Harry says dryly. "I'm Harry."

"Mm," Scorpius says, before that sinks in and he glances up at Harry's forehead to determine the truth. Following that is an open-mouthed stare. "But you're--" Almost my age is an exaggeration, but hell, it's close enough.

Seeing the young boy, Draco stops in his tracks looking stunned at how much he resembles him when he was younger. Used to weird things here though, he's not jumping to any particular conlusion yet - although what Harry's son Albus said to him does cross his mind.

Pulling himself together he frowns at the boy and asks abruptly, "Who are you?"

The brusque question annoys Scorpius, although the uncanny resemblance this boy bears to his father (and him) are not unnoticed. "Who are you?" he replies. "You tell me first."

He raises an eyebrow and looks haughtily annoyed at that, but he does answer. "I'm Draco Malfoy and you'd better not be my clone."

"I'm not," Scorpius says, and he's definitely trying to figure out the best way to phrase this.
