There is nothing ordinary about the man who enters the Mansion next. He is wearing purple robes patterned with silver stars and his hair and beard are silver and flowing. He hums something merry beneath his breath as he surveys the room beneath half-moon spectacles

Tonks practically falls off the couch she'd been lying on, once she realizes who it is standing in the doorway.

"Professor!"

"Nymphadora." Oh yes, he called her Nymphadora. She will just have to deal with it.

He smiles, serene and careful and approaches to help the young woman. "How are you, my dear girl?"

If anyone gets to call her Nymphadora, it's...her mum, but after Andromeda, it's -- well, Remus, actually, but then her dad, and then, fourth on the list, Dumbledore. Besides, in the fluster of OmgAlive, she hardly even notices.

She stares wide-eyed at him as he helps her to her feet. "Er--brilliant, sir! I mean, I'm--you know, I'm fine and all. How are you? Excuse me, but -- weren't you...erm, dead, last time I saw you...?"

"Quite thoroughly. If the Killing Curse didn't do it, the fall did." Another smile and he pats Tonks' hand with great care.

"But I am most certainly not dead now, it seems. Which I confess I am rather glad for."

Dennis blinks. And beams. "Professor Dumbledore!"

Dumbledore laughs and kneels to be more even. "Dennis. How are you, Mister Creevey?"

[littlest__lion]

"I'm... all right." He tilts his head. "Weren't you dead?"

There's a pause and Dumbledore considers this. How does one explain? And then a smile.

"I shall never be gone so long as there are those at Hogwarts who believe in me."

[justabartender]

"Mm. Albus."

[thelifeandlies]

"Aberforth." He greets, amiably (but it's hard to hide the tension, the guilt).

"Back on your feet, then?"

[thelifeandlies]

"Indeed. And how are you?"

[stagman]

He doffs an imaginary hat at his one-time headmaster. "You don't say?! Mine is James Potter!"

"Pleasure to meet you, Mister Potter." His eyes dance and he offers an over-dramatic bow.

[stagman]

"No no, the pleasure is all mine." He grins broadly. "Thanks, by the way."

"Whatever for, James?"

His eyes go wide. "Dumbledore? Seriously? What's next, Godric Gryffindor showing up?"

[ohmygodric]

And a rather amused reply. "What was that now?"

"...you're not-- are you seriously Godric Gryffindor?"

He looks down at himself. "Well, last time I checked I was, yes."
