A notice of sorts...

Apr 21, 2005 09:45

I'm afraid I don't quite know how to bring this up, other than just being really blunt about it. So... forgive me for any awkwardness...

Per the advice both of Madam Pomfrey and Doctor Watson, and in light of recent events at the DF mansion... I feel compelled to notify the members of the community that... uhh... rats, why is this so difficult?* ( Read more... )

Mum, it's not like we planned this! It just is! I love Hermione more than anything and I took a chance, OK? I'm happy. We're happy. And I'm prepared to stand my ground if you disagree. I'm not a little boy anymore.

A very silly chance, Ronald, for goodness' sake! Didn't you think?

You're not little, but you are very thick sometimes. Ronald, I am your mother and I will thrust my advice upon you. You haven't got a clue about parenting. Enough!

Oh goodness ... Oh Hermione! My dear, what on Earth? I can't say I was expecting news like this, especially from someone so responsible! Of course, I can't blame you, dear, it had to have been Ron - silly boy. Though this is far more serious than that, and ... *flustered*

Are you well? Do you feel OK? Need any help? I remember having a horrible time at such a stage, and to think I had the security of Arthur! I daresay Ron hasn't been very resourceful, knowing him.

Dear, you're entirely too young for this! Which I suppose is why I'll have to step in at some point. Do your parents know? If you don't tell them, I will.

Goodness gracious. I can't believe this.

Actually... Mrs. Weasley... no disrespect intended, but it was as much my choice as it was Ron's. And since I learned what was going on, Ron has been my biggest support. He's being very good to me and it's helped me loads in trying to suss everything out.

As for how I feel... well, it comes and goes, really. Some days are simply horrible as I can't seem to keep any food down whatsoever, and other days are really good. The support of Ron means the world to me throughout it all.

As for help... that would be greatly appreciated. I've already spoken to Lily (Potter) and she's offered to help as well. I'm going to tell my parents later, as they are away on holidays right now and I don't wish to spoil that for them.

[blinks] ... A fine time to join the community.

[smiles a little]

First of all, I'd like to commend your bravery. I'm glad the two of you decided to let us know about the situation before anything went out of hand. It takes a lot of courage to approach this sort of a topic, not knowing what everyone's reaction will be.

At first, I was going to make a mention to your age, and ... how unplanned this all was, but then I realized that what's done is done. Lecturing is going to do no good. So, instead I'll congratulate you. I'll pray that the baby is a healthy one, and offer to help out in any way that I can.

[hugs both Ron and Hermione in a brotherly fashion]

... thank you, Bill.

Yes, I am aware that this was unexpected, and that both of us are rather young. In truth, I do not think either of us meant for this to happen, but now that it has, we are trying to deal with it in a manner fitting responsible adults and parents-to-be.

I'm sure I speak for both Ron and myself when I say that any help you are willing to give would be greatly appreciated.

Hermione, I think you're very brave.

If I can help you or Ron in any way, shape, or form, just ask, alright? I'd be more than happy to help you two.

And once the baby's born, allow me to offer my babysitting services free of charge...

*deep breath* Thank you, Mark.

I'm still trying to get my mind wrapped around it in some way... I'm glad I managed to make some sense, at least.

Well, at least you know you've got a big support group. I mean, you've got the entire Weasley family, Harry, me, any other friends you've picked up along the way...

We're here for you, all the way.
