Helen, not Vasil, is in the main room of the mansion. She has done what she can with her short hair, put on a white dress of plain style, and sits down with a piece of embroidery to wait and see what will happen. She doesn't know how the mansion will react and she is a bit nervous but she doesn't let it show. Princesses don't do that.

"Good day!" Ganymede gives the usual cheerful wave, then stops short. "Good friend! Wherefore art thou thus arrayed?"

"I've stopped."

[dukes_daughter]

"Stopped?"

[border_princess]

"There's no reason to keep pretending."

Prince Paul is wandering through, but he stops when he sees her, cocking an eyebrow. "A dress today? Of your own volition, at that?"

"Are you that surprised?"

[oilwithvinegar]

"Amused, really. Though I'd prefer to see my wife in better finery. You need jewels."

[border_princess]

"This isn't enough?" She holds up the hand with his ring on it.

Richard hasn't seen Vasil in awhile, and he nods politely before doing a bit of a double take. "...have we met before, madam?"

She smiles. "Yes, actually."

Oh dear. This is Richard trying to place her, rather frantically. "...recently?"

"I haven't seen you in a while. We met on Palm Sunday."

[prettydenis]

Denis sees her and looks a little confused. "Monsieur...?"

"Hello, Denis."

[prettydenis]

"It is you? Why do you wear that?"

[border_princess]

"Because I felt like it. Don't most women wear dresses?"
