Enter a tall, rather tattered-looking man. He looks momentarily confused for a moment when he sees the large house in front of him, but that subsides into a general aura of wariness. After a moment, he scans his surroundings and walks up to the door, poking his head in.

"I hope someone's keeping an eye on the wolves in the woods," he remarks, with ( Read more... )

"Young master Took!" There's a hint of a smile, somewhere behind the scruff. "What brings you here, my friend?"

"I don't know." He attempts to look knowledgeable. "I think it's magic."

"I thought the same, because this certainly does not appear to be Druadan." He shoulders his cloak off now, smiling down at Pippin. "Would you join me in something to drink, master Pippin?"

Mentioning the wolves gets you a puppy, who's not only their enemy but also incredibly fond of Aragorn's particular lineage. Who sits up from where he was sprawled on a rug to study the returning king.

Aragorn just gives him a long study in return, raising an eyebrow.

So Huan stands, to his really impressive-for-a-dog size, and pads over for a closer look. Sniff, rather, but the point stands.

Though Huan is big, he doesn't look very threatening (at the moment), so Strider offers him a hand to sniff and a small smile.

Finrod looks unsually solemn at the mention of wolves, but he gives Aragorn a welcoming nod and an almost speculative look, the resemblence is faint but the man reminds him somewhat of Beren, and to a lesser extent, Turgon. Aragorn might find him a little familiar looking as well, considering his relationship to Galadriel. "There are worse things than ordinary wolves in the woods here," he warns, whether these are the wolves Aragorn met or not it's something he needs to know. Then he smiles slightly, welcoming. "Welcome, Strider. If you are in need of rest, we haven't had trouble with the wolves inside the house."

"There usually are, I've found," he replies solemnly, and then nods. "That would be much appreciated. Where have I ended up?"

"No one is quite certain. It doesn't seem to be in any actual place or follow any laws that make sense." He shrugs slightly. "It...well, it is as mad as it sounds." He grins.

"Well, it's -- nothing like Minas Tirith, anyway."

Lurking around the edge of the woods, possibly occasionally visible through the trees, are the Wolves. They're waiting, hoping that Aragorn will close the door and leave the house, they know better than to attack where they're likely to encounter a mass of angry Elves with pointy things. One lone, battered Ranger on the other hand...

And he won't, for the moment, because he senses something's there, even if he doesn't know it's Wolves. However, they're welcome to next time he decides to go exploring!

They'll be waiting, and looking forward to it.

"Strider!" Frodo would probably look a bit happier if he could, but his conversation with Bilbo has him still rather... well, spooked.

"Hello, Frodo." And he actually gets a smile. "Are you well?"

"I..." He looks entirely unsure how to answer that question.

"I know what's going on," he adds quietly. "Pippin told me when I arrived."
