He wakes up in a corner of the main room. There are sticks and leaves in his hair, and his clothing is torn in many places and stained with mud. He could use a shave, and probably some sleep. More than that, though, he could use some idea where he is, or whose mansion he's entered while he was sleepwalking.

Tentatively, he calls, "Hello?"

"Oh, goodness." Mary, upon hearing him, hurries to him in a little whisper of skirts and kneels down beside him. "Are you quite all right?"

He looks up at her, a little disoriented. "Quite all right, madam, if you could only tell me where I am?"

"Oh--I am, of course, not precisely sure," she says apologetically.

"Is it near Solesbury?"

And Tom is flopped down on a couch somewhere nearby. "Hello!"

Edgar's head snaps up; he hadn't realized anyone else was in the room. "Where--where am I, sir?"

"Afraid I don't know." Tom extends a hand from his still flopped, partially upside down position. "Tom Jones, at your service."

He shuffles forward on his knees to take it. "Edgar Huntly ... late of Solesbury, in the Norwalk area."

*barely concealed disapproval*

Hello, sir.

By this point, Edgar's at least not crawling up from the floor--he's terribly scruffy, but not as scruffy as he was upon the initial post. "Good day, sir--might you direct me to a place at which I can wash and shave?"

*unfortunately, Consiel is relatively new here as well. However, a good valet has a built-in sink compass.*

In the kitchen, I believe, monsieur. *points*

He smiles a little. "Despite the extraordinary facility of your cooks, sir, I didn't see a washbasin when last I was in the kitchen."
