"Karla," she says shortly, not offering a surname. She feels the mocking edge to the curtsy and snarls, baring her teeth. "You wouldn't, would you?" Maybe Rainier wasn't the right male. She needed Kaelas. Or Lucivar. "But I'd like to know." There is a dangerous edge to her voice. Queens don't rise to the killing edge, but Karla is as close as they can get.
