His coming was foretold (but perhaps not his coming here).

He's a distinctly beautiful little boy, standing still on his own and looking around. He prefers not to talk, ever, and doesn't ask any questions, but keeps his hands folded demurely in front of him, and relies on strangely expressive gestures to convey his meaning-- a tilt of the head to indicate curiosity being the most common at the moment ( Read more... )

"Hello!" She's eight years old, blonde hair in braids, and bobbing an almost disturbingly flouncy curtsy. "I'm Rhoda! What's your name?"

Typist: Ahahahaha. XD Scary wee children for the win.

He looks at her a little warily, mostly because he's not used to so much enthusiasm in one go. "Damien."

[[Awww, she's adorable! XD]]

Rhoda is nothing if not enthusiastic. It's how she maintains her place as Everyone's Favorite Ever (not that she occupies that place here, but she's working on it.) "A pleasure to meet you, Damien," she says primly, with just the right balance of self-conscious grown-upness and childishness to make any adults standing nearby melt.

Typist: Adorable and pure, calculating evil! XD

Damien is usually firmly in that post-- at least, he is with parents who have not realized that he is, in fact, pure unadulterated evil in the form of a small child-- and Rhoda doesn't exactly unnerve him, but she is overwhelming enough for him to frown a little and take a small step back. He looks her up and down doubtfully.

And here is a distinctly beautiful little girl, three years old and an absolute doll in her new white dress.

"Hello."

Typist: May I offer you my firstborn?

This is the sort of child Damien could play nicely with. He nods in greeting, and even smiles a bit.

[[I'd accept, but I get the feeling Damien might inadvertently offer it up to his daddy.]]

The smile encourages her. "I'm Pammy."

Adam frowns at him a little, recognizing that something is slightly off about him, but not what. It makes him uneasy. He's not going to be rude, though; his father raised him better than that.

"Hi. Are you lost or somethin'?"

He shakes his head, looking at Adam with a quizzical scrutiny, recognizing something familiar about him. He tilts his head to one side. Has he met him before?

"'m Adam," he adds helpfully, noticing the quizzical look. "I don't think 've seen you around before."

No, he hasn't been around before; he shakes his head. "Daddy's gone," he says, by way of explanation.

Draco eyes the litle boy warily. He doesn't like children and he's getting an especially bad feeling about this one, though he can't pinpoint exactly why.

Typist: Should I be worried that I watched The Omen (one of my favourite films) yet again just the other day...? XD (And I have read the book/s too, but ages ago.) Please don't tempt me with Omen characters...

Damien eyes Draco right back, with more innocence than he should rightly be capable of, and gives him a tentative smile.

[[Oh dear. XD I know how tempting they can be. *pats Damien* That makes me imagine Father Tassone wandering around DF, commanding various people to go take communion and kill the Antichrists.]]

"What do you think you are smiling at?" He says, frowning.

The smile drops off his face, almost disdainfully.

He's just a little disbelieving that people are just letting this child wander around. Armand looks around again for something resembling parents, but he knows this place too well, and it's only a half-hearted scan. Then with a sigh, he approaches the child. Yes, the boy unsettles him, but he keeps telling himself that it's only a little boy. What's creepy about that?

"Are you lost?" he asks Damien gently.

[[I am trying very hard not to get the nanny because I haven't re-read the book in ages. You win! We so need the crazy priest.]]

Damien looks up at Armand and shakes his head no. He's not lost, in his mind. He's just somewhere new.

[[Thank you! XD Damien is taken from the end of the book, so I think he'd be a bit perturbed by the appearance of the woman his father stabbed in the head and ran over...]]

Armand kneels to get on a better eye level with the child. "Where are your parents or the rest of your family?"
