Zara is finally come out of her room, though not for anything resembling sustenance; merely to lay out two armfuls of new dresses on a table in one of the Mansion's more-used rooms, with a small poorly-lettered sign that says "FORE FREE. TAK IF YO WUNT."

The nasty little cat herself then attempts to get out of the room without being accosted.

Cywyllgo has been looking for an excuse to linger longer at the Mansion than she normally would. Clothes are as good a reason as any.

"You have been busy," she comments as Zara attempts to escape, running a hand over a blue gown.

Well, that effectively stops her, and she looks back at Cywyllog. "Had a lot of time, and nothin' to do."

she nods, with a small half-smile. "I know the feeling. I wish I were as handy at something."

"It ent hard." The thought what the hell am I doing? may pass through her mind around this time, as she gestures. "Puttin' a needle through cloth, 's all."

Well, unfortunately, she's not going to make it out of the room, because Bedi is going to appear in the doorway.

"I was wondering when you were going to emerge from the depths of Hades again."

He catches her with his arm. "Not so fast, firebird. We need to talk." She may notice that the git has probably been drinking.

Francine has a habit of getting into just about anything, and though it's certain that all of the dresses are far too big for her, when she sees them she runs over to touch the fabrics, examine any fancy bits, and drape herself in the skirts.

Zara watches her from a safe distance, perhaps interested to see what people think of what she does.

Morvydd, an extremely practical young woman in most respects, has a terrible weakness for clothes. She drifts over, affecting only casual interest.

Ooo! A person more interested in the dresses than in accosting Zara! She watches.

For a minute or two she just scrutinizes them, hands tucked behind her back -- nobody had to warn Morvydd to be careful of unexplained gifts. Then she reaches out to turn over a sleeve, very delicately.

Nothing, of course, happens. The fabric rustles, that's all.
