Looking for Jackrabbit

Jackrabbit was busy sewing a small, baby-sized flimsy, not knitting motherly, but handsewing, crosslegged on the floor of the main room of the mansion.

Spade looked at the infant and smiled, though there was something heavier behind the expression. "Yeah, Miss Cuthbert said you'd had a new arrival. Boy or a girl?"

Mary sees him, remembering that he was a peculiar, difficult man that she almost liked. And people Mary almost likes deserve a greeting, at the very least.
