Here would be the Mansion's more emo birdkid, dressed in his usual all-black attire with his wings comfortably behind his back. He's given up trying to hide them, since no one here really seems to care that much

"I think maybe you should wait a while. 'Cause sometimes things sound like a really good idea right then when you're thinkin' about 'em, especially if you love the person, and then it turns out they're not so good. And I think you should know what she wants, too, before you ask her or anything."
"I know I want to marry her." Fang stresses. "And I know it may seem like I might not know because I'm young or whatever, but I know. I'm going to end up spending my life with her anyway, with the whole Flock probably, but I want to spend it with her as more than just her best friend. Yeah, I planned on asking her what she wanted before I made an idiot of myself."
"Then I think that you certainly ought to at least mention it to her. If she knows your intentions, then everyone else will, and no one else will ask her to marry them."
He has to laugh some at that. "Ah, I don't think someone else asking her to marry them will be a problem. Not that other people wouldn't want to marry her or anything; she's great. But she'd never accept some random guy asking, especially since we're involved."
This is a situation she can relate to, so she'll at least -try- to help.
"Well, first things first, I suppose... But... this girl? Does she know how you feel? Does she reciprocate? As for the paperwork you're referring to... I don't think it's needed. Some people do get it, because they want their marriage recognized in their home world, but other's can't, because their marriage wouldn't be allowed."
"Yeah, she does. She doesn't know I wanna get married I don't think, but she might have just assumed it for all I know. I doubt it would matter if our marriage was recognized there... we don't exactly do things like everyone else. Wouldn't help us with house or car payments or anything. So I dont need anything here?"
"I've yet to hear of some form of Ministry here that would hand out licenses for those things. And as far as I know, some of my friends went without one and are just fine. So... I suppose the answer is yes, you don't need one?"
"Don't waste any more time. Let her know it's what you want and let her decide when it happens. I hope you both will be happy. I want Mlle. Max to be happy."
"Of course I'm talking about her, I just didn't know you knew her. Hey don't tell her all right, I've got an idea about how to do it, I don't wanna spoil the surprise."
Look, it's a traumatized Albatross who turns into a woman the next moment. She sits on the windowsill, almost balancing on the edge, and it is probably the first time ever she spoke to someone her from her own incentive.
"I take it you had a bad break?" Fang asks with a bit of a raised brow. He doesn't even worry about the fact she wasn't even human a moment ago. "It can also bring people together, can't it?"
