A note has been scribbled and slipped under Alyss Heart's door room.

Miss Heart,

I'm afriad you may be in terrible danger. I must speak to you as soon as possible. Meet me in the library. Tell no one of this.

Yours sincerly,

N. Tesla

He waits nervously.

She'd be lying if she said she was not feeling frightened, nervous. It's not every day one leaves a note telling her she's in danger.

Perhaps she always has been, but to hear it is another matter.

She arrives in the library, slipping in like a shadow, the note clutched in her hand. "You wished to see me?"

Tesla is pale, nervous. He quickly walks to Alyss and says in a hushed tone.

"Listen to me. You must be very careful. I've recognized some of the people here. You must trust noone save those you know from your own land and above all you must stay away from Madame Defrage. Do you understand?"

A beat. She studies Tesla with wide-eyes and speaks, just as quietly.

"Who is here? Who is Madame Defrage? Am I in danger of her? Have I done something that may cause her to think ill of me?"

"Many people here are from my books. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tale of Two Cities, Les Miserable are all books. Much like your Alice in Wonderland I believe. Madame Defrage is the knitting women who asked if you were of noble blood. No good will come of you being around her. Did you tell her your name or where you were from?"
