Don John needs only to look over this scene once-- that's enough for his eyes to flash in anger, for his jaw to set. Don John's calm is a dark calm, tense and taut.

"Give her to me."

Linden bows ever so slightly, and places her in Don John's arms very carefully.

He takes her, not gently but as gentle as he can, and after a short pause and a look into her face, he lowers her onto a nearby couch--

--and rushes at Linden, intent on making a balled fist connect with his jaw.

Which sends Linden, who really didn't expect that--anger, yes, certainly, but not physically expressed--reeling backwards and hitting the ground heavily. He grasps around him for his cane.

He notices the sudden arrival, and knowing that Cho wants to be a Healer, thinks of her.

"My girlfriend is training to be a Healer, would you like me to get her?"

Linden, who is himself bleeding right now, since Hero has been rescued by her prince, grimaces slightly. "No, thank you. I think a doctor has already arrived."
