Daisy looks her over for a moment before replying. "You're rather... young. Do you have experience? If you do, I'm certain we can work something out."

"I've raised five on my own. I'm eighteen, have been a surrogate mother since before I was eleven. I'm the oldest of a family of six, and since we didn't have parents, I took on the role of mother." Max explains. "I also am pretty sure I can get references if you need them."

She blinks. "Well, then." And she waves a dismissive hand. "No, no. References aren't necessary. You seem like a lovely girl. Now, my name is Daisy Buchanan and my beautiful little girl is Pammy. She needs someone to take care of her, you see, and her nurse is... not here. What do you say to taking the job?"
