LJs current status makes it impossible for me to collect the links for despatches . Whatever that feckin' goat says, there ARE issues. LJ hasn't worked for a week, it takes ages for my f-list to load, my comments disappear, and after trying now for three hours to get despatches done, I give up. Nothing works, it's infuriating

I'm really getting fed up with LJ, and I've been here over ten years. *sigh*

The goat has changed its stance:

Well, at least they're working on it. And I was able to update my BPS post with the links to the Twelve Days stories, though it was slow going.

I've been on for 9 years myself, and still think it's a far better format than Facebook. Gah! I hope they can fix it.

Wish they'd stop picking on LJ who ever is causing the trouble. Thanks for persevering though!

It's always a matter of luck if I catch a window of availability on LJ when I am available. I need a crystal ball!

DW works the same as LJ. Just easier to use. But as others have mentioned, while many are on DW, there's no real interaction. We'll see how things will go...

I've been told that they are cutting off certain ISPs as they are the source of the major problems they're facing. Maybe you are unlucky enough to be using an ISP that the trouble makers have been using. I have had patchy service. It's down for an hour or so but can get some trouble free access for most of the time.

I don't want to rule it out, but it's rather unlikely; I access LJ from three different ISPs, of which two are government ISPs, and LJ wasn't accessible from any of them. I hope the service will recover; I think that inaccessiblity is a bigger danger to LJ than any changes or "improvements".

It's been an absolute pain for days now. Over here it takes ages to load as well and it was down for three days over the New Year. According to the LJ Facebook page everything is back to normal now, but I think we should not only take that with a grain of salt but with the entire salt content of the Dead Sea!

I hope that posting the next issue will cause you less trouble and annoyance.
