That is a problem I've had with my place of employment ever since I started working there. Even though it is a part time job, and I'm a college kid so my job is clearly not the top of my priority list, they act as though being there should be the one thing that is most important in my life. Camping is something I have had to fight to do, to have any time to remain myself because I certainly am not myself at work. Yet no one seems to understand that, because they're the kinds of people that make society what it is. None of them seem very much connected with anything that isn't entirely the product of humanity, and yet even to them it doesn't seem to have any meaning or give any peace like they're constantly reaching for a goal that is entirely impossible simply because it's defined by continuing to reach.
