PSA for friends deleting and/or moving to Dreamwidth

Many of you, like me, are moving to Dreamwidth and/or quitting LJ, but for various reasons, are not taking the "delete the whole account" approach. Here are some tips that may help you.

Ooh, I've been looking for an LJ backup tool that includes comments. I've actually used LJBook to make backups a couple of times and liked it a lot, so I don't mind paying a bit for it this time round.

And I hadn't even thought about my LJ Memories. Another thing to consider, hmm.

I have a semi-automated solution for the memories problem, here.

I'd actually not accumulated so many memories, only about 300 all in all, so it was okay to do it manually, but I was really happy for the multidelete URL! I'd had no idea that was a thing and it made the whole thing pretty painless.
