did I come to a place when I will turn away a proposed room simply because I feel I can now say no. Because the room would drag in drama and upheaval and disturb the peace that we all cherish on SD (I am flattered that we were chosen for -exactly- that reason). A room that is busy on another site and would certainly increase traffic. But it was ( Read more... )

Surprised me when I read this. Honestly. The refusing of a realm, but I see why. The peace and quiet of SD is a hard-won thing and I am glad to see it preserved.

Kinda surprised me when I did it. And did it without a doubt or second thought. It wasn't worth the price SD would have to pay.

Sometimes I miss the drama we used to have...a little. But maybe it's more of a case that I miss the people who were around to help me handle it then. I'm not really sure. But seriously Wendy, seriously now...wouldn't you rather have us be known for our dedication to no drama and good writing?

110% All for the dedication to no drama and good writing.

sometimes the occasional drama would make things interesting, but I think, hell I know I'd rather have the nice well behaved chatter base. Keeps being a site admin damn easy (and... I am lazy XD )

It was hard won, once I realized how valuable it was. There was a long time I railed against it and spit in anyone and everyones eye when they told me it was good. I was stuck on counting numbers and competition; wiser heads than mine gave me the courage to turn my back on that. It.was.not.easy ( ... )

You know, I don't understand why some people have to have drama in their lives. They aren't happy unless some shit is going down.

Me? I'm too goddamned busy to give a damn about drama and I'm quick to chop necks when there is some. I don't have time for that shit and if you're gonna bring it my way... be ready to lose something you ain't getting back.

Kudos to you for keeping that off SD... our peace and quiet was hard-won and while denying them will inevitably cause a little drama... it better stay off SD.

Else the causer of it is getting a friendly visit from the Executioner.

It might cause some drama. I don't think anyone is going to broadcast their room was turned down by that crappy little SD chat/rp site. After all, there is a matter of their pride. And that's okay, pride is a good thing to an extent.

Mark and I have actually discussed making SD invitation only...But no, I don't think it'll ever come to that. Compared to other sites and their draw, we're not gonna have a population explosion or anything. So I don't think you'll need that big ol' scythe. *chuckle*

Well... damn. I was going to polish and sharpen it and everything! Oh well. I'll just leave it blunt and rusty... means it'll hurt a lot more when I do need to use it.

*Raises a brow and grins* I know someone else that used to say almost exactly that same thing.
