The goal of the girls with whom I am currently sharing the basement must be to be as loudly obnoxious and disgusting as possible. At first they were singing - and good at it - but now they're just acting... like juvenile guys

What is it about the dorms that when you're in the basement, someone will inevitably wander downstairs and do stupid shit that will annoy you, because they're acting in the manner of an adolescent.
Women for Women is the new group that Erica and the other female house RA's put together for all of the girls who live in all-female houses like Playground, Fantasia, Deja Vu, etc. etc. Living in one of those houses grants you membership, though you don't have to do anything with it. And we do various things that are important to women, causes that relate or any of the following. We also have get togethers that involve watching movies, hanging out, and we're doing a Thanksgiving party.
EX: Tomorrow and Thursday we will be passing out pink ribbons & little flyers for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We're also selling t-shirts that say 'Save Second Base'.
That sounds like a really awesome group. I kind of wish it had been around when I was in Playground.
And what is the point of the T-shirt, and what will the money be going to?
It's also Domestic Violence Awareness month, too. =) Harbor House and the FMLA and other groups put up all the stakes that you'll see tomorrow. You should take a look at it.
The whole 'Save Second Base' is a play for saving breasts from breast cancer - the pink ribbon will be there too. And the proceeds go to our group so that we can actually fund the seminars and like that we'd like to do; Erica really knows more about the money bit than me, I'm just in the action and getting everyone going.
Not sure on the ribbons, it'll depend on the weather. Either in the Campus Mall or the LRC, depending. I'll find out around two when I head up to take my shift.
