It might actually come in handy when you move. One of the great features of LJ is the communities. There is probably a Seattle one (I'm in two Twin Cities ones). Those communities are great for asking locals where they like to go for various things. You might also find people with other similar interests. So try not to look at this only as a personal journal, per se. It can be quite fun!
