[written very, very slowly, in an unusually neat hand.]

That was [long pause, several false starts] something.  The man in black armor [pause for pings], whoever he was, I hope he's not still out there.

But I'm back now.  If someone needs me, I'll be in the air.

Good to see your writing again ♥ But what do you mean, you'll be in the air?

Good to be able to write and respond again, sir.

I'm completing a full training course on Windmere. She's a griffin in the stables.

I just really need to feel the wind again.

Whoa, that's awesome! I hope flying around for a bit helps.

Thank you, sir. I think it will.

There were doubles of many citizens going around killing one another. One of them killed you [slight pause] although I don't think your name was on the list of the dead. Either way, the one who did you in was taken care of, and the ones that weren't killed disappeared.

Doubles. Clones? And they... disappeared. I suppose I'll be satisfied with that.

Given my shape when I died, I'd be more surprised if someone had been able to identify me.

The woman with the bladed staff, is she a nonissue now too?

Yep. I saw one vanish into thin air with my own eyes. It's not unheard of.

I'm guessing your body was changed, then.

Yes, she was another one of the doubles. Both the man in the dark armour and the woman with the scythe are actually very capable medics, so I'll advise you not to be too surprised if you go there and see them for some reason or another.

I suppose I should stop being surprised about this place.

Yeah. It was. Probably wasn't even identifiable as a body, really.

I'll have to watch myself, then. Thank you for the warning.

Oh... Black armor?

I'm glad you get to fly again.

Black and spiky, and carrying a huge... you know, I'm not sure if it was a club or a sword. I couldn't see very well.

There's nothing like flight to remind you that you're alive.

I hope he's not out there too, in any case.

That is a nice way to put it. How is Windmere?

Apparently he's gone now. I'll just have to hope he doesn't come back.

I think she was angry at me for not showing up for several days - again - but I have her calmed down now. She's something of a diva, though if you know her moods and what to do she's forgiving.

The man in black armor was my double. With the aid of Reed, it is now dead.

All right. I didn't really get a look at his face, anyway, so I don't think I'll be mistaking him for you. I hope. I wonder what happened to the man with the coat...

Paladin, right?

mythgravenblade March 4 2010, 17:25:31 UTC
Oh! --yes, my name is Paladin. I'm not inclined to wear black often, anyhow.

And [ink drips] I am so sorry that that happened to you.

Or carry gigantic - what was that, anyway? All I could tell was that it was huge and a weapon.

Nothing about that weekend was pleasant. But it's not your fault, I suppose. I just hope the man who was trying to help me got off easier.

...black armor? What kind of armor?

[Darth Vader counts.]

No problem. Things have been hectic.

Spiky, rough-looking. I didn't see a lot of detail.

Don't I know it. If that ever happens again, it'll be too soon.

See, the black part rings a bell. The spiky bits not so much.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But it didn't really seem... terribly form-fitting, I suppose, and I think his face wasn't covered.
