Saw Underworld: Evolution today. It was about as good as the first one, which means not very. It's nice to turn my brain off for a movie once in a while though, so I had fun. Plus, any time I can look at a shirtless Scott Speedman, I'm there. Also, the fellow that played Marcus was also kind of attractive. It's that redhead thing I have, I guess ( Read more... )

I want to see that movie, just to say I did. For whatever reason I bought the first one... which I kinda like, I've always been interested in the whole vampire thing. And, like you, Scott Speedman without a shirt is great! 24th Day with him and James Marsden (Cyclops from X-Men) is an interesting thriller... gay movie.

Yeah, I'd read about that but I haven't had a chance to see it. I've heard it is ok.

It's okay... nothing great. Keeps you guessing throughout.

I hear you on the Dickens front. I feel like I've read them all, but in fact I've only read A Christmas Carol, Hard Times, and Bleak House. Of those, Bleak House is the best (and it's on PBS tonight). One of the books for this year is going to be Our Mutual Friend.

Unless you have something against owning used books, or you're going for some kind of uniformed look to your copies -- dude, I've got extra copies of both Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. (Plus, many copies of crap by Dostoevsky that I don't plan on reading.) Let me know what you want, and, more than likely, I've got an extra copy of it.

I am kind of liking the series that I've got going here right now. Since they are dirt cheap ($7-$10 per book) I don't mind buying them new. I do appreciate the offer, of course.
