I was having lunch with
baranoouji at Joe's Noodle House after a geology lecture at UMD - College Park. I had mentioned that I had gotten about 9 "You would make a good lawyer" fortunes. So I opened my fortune, and read aloud, "You will have a long and wealthy life." To which
baranoouji responded, "... as a lawyer." I will now add this after all fortune cookie

Of course, the irony* of that one is hilarious on its own. Which I guess is why you saved it.
*Maybe "irony" isn't exactly the right term, as none of the words are used opposite of the way they literally mean. But it's not a contradiction in terms, exactly, since the paradox concerns whether you believe it. Bah. I'm sticking with "irony" for now - I spend enough time worrying about this crap for English papers this semester, I'm not doing it for LJ entries and comments, too.
