The fireflies light up the night rather. It's a little easier than a lamp, I'd say.

I wondered if I might ask… who remembers their world as having spirits, and what kind?

There are a lot of legends of spirits in my world - but I'm not sure how true they were.

Even if they're not, I'm sure they'd be interesting. If you've the time, would you mind if I asked to hear some of them?

Well, I'm not much of a storyteller. But that'd be fine.

It was twisted and demonic.

I recall hearing of its demise... And I was the one to slay it.

But I'm certain it was not the only one.

With trusted companions, then? That's a good thing. I can't think that it would be easy on a single person.

Elemental spirits were not uncommon where I'm from.

Mm, I think something like that was the case for us, too. Might I ask if you know the names of any of them?

I remember something. Not exactly spirits I think. What exactly do you mean?

This particular one was a guardian, but I think they might have been more than that.

That doesn't sound familiar at all to me, but the memories I have of spirits are sort of vague.

Not enough for a clear image? Still, it's entirely possible that they could have different roles in different worlds!
