If you read my review you'll see that I didn't particularly enjoy this episode. Yes I loved all the things you point out here and seeing you so positive makes me feel better about the episode, but I have this hollow feeling, I don't know. Of a cheap way out. I really am setting my bar too high for Supernatural to be always consistent, yes?
I took the throwaway line about Bobby, Ellen and Jo as being a plus/, apart from Sam. I liked it, even though apart from Bobby's role, show has fallen short in many occasions to tell us where they are. And they could have done it.
But YAY! for Sweet Charity! I hope I'm not going to break my paypal :D:D:D
Just read and responded to your review. I think you took a (very interesting, accurate) meta-ish perspective while I'm stuck basking in the glow of feeling like I know Sam and Dean again. I'm mostly enjoying the plot this season... But miss Sam and Dean. You know?

*nods sagely* 'Fraid so.

I get this feeling, from things he's said, that Kripke is really embarrassed over the Roadhouse and its storylines (such as they were). I'm kind of surprised even this mention made it to screen....

Don't! Also, I can't wait to see the art and fic you produce. ♥
I MISS Sam and Dean so much it hurts. But I'm operating under the assumption that we are supposed to miss them, their bond, the understanding of each other. Now what, Dean suddenly will be understandble of Sam and the crutch Sam needs to fight his evils way? Where's the conflict they've spent a season building up. If I have to take the episode like that, it doesn't work. It works only if I have to take it as a way to lay off the angst for a while and give us Dean and Sam working together without the angst.

*nods* You are probably right. It just seemed so, I don't know, weird.
And I want to see yours. Whar are you offering? Oh, well, I'll probably go and check for myself. ♥

Something tells me we'll need this episode as the plot advances. I'll save it for that rainy day. :)
What are you offering?
Icons! A set of thirty, based on a theme chosen by the bidder. And due a month after bigbang. :D
