Using 'crazy' to describe people is ableist.

Why can't I get people to see that?

Because people don't understand that the language we use doesn't just reflect the culture we live in, but also shapes it. And because "Oh, lighten up already!" is (seemingly) every privileged person's favorite way to quickly and easily invalidate the perspective of any less-privileged person. Hooray!
