What a great way to start off BBB.

I've never seen Sliding Doors, but I think I might have to now if it's half as lovely as this fic. This is a first for me, as I usually stay clear of Bert as a rule, but the way he was integrated here made total sense, and I was nail-biting with Mikey all the way through bert!Gerard's story. And the lovely thing is that I almost wrote it as sad!Gerard's story, but it's more nuanced than that - even without Frank, Gerard still creates a life for himself and grows and changes and aww, I just fucking loved this thing.

So... thanks. And my apologies for the rambling comment.

[On an unrelated note holy amazing art, Batman! I love the stuff theopteryx did for the unholy!verse, and it looks like she pulled out all the stops again here. Gorgeous.]

Oh, thank you! That's a lovely compliment. I do so love the movie, and I hope you'll rent it someday. I did change some things around, however, so watch it with an open mind! Lol.

I too am not a big Bert fan, so I tried very carefully to give him his own story here, to not make him a two-dimensional villain, but a man with issues and feelings and foibles. And thank you, so much, for noticing that Gerard isn't always sad, that there's more to that side of the story. He does grow and learn, and he figures things out for himself, and finds a way to be happy.

I loved the rambly comment! You are free to leave such lovely ramblings anytime you so choose! Thank you!

[DUDE, I KNOW, RIGHT? She is amazing! If you haven't already, check out her Becoming Joan art, and the one titled Snow Day. Gorgeous, all of them.]

Seriously, one of the best fanfics ever. DEF one of the best Frerards out there. I fucking LOVEEEEEEEEEE Sliding Doors, and you used that idea SOOOOOOO well.

I LOVEDDDDDDD it. Read it all in one sitting. Had me in tears a few times... but I get emotional when I read... LMAO so that's no surprise. hahahh. Can I just say, that its fucking BRILLAINT that you had Gerard ONLY TAKE THE COFFEE MAKER. I WAS DYING IN LAUGHTER. SO APPROPRIATE hahaahahhaha. And for once, someone writes gay sex correctly. LOL I read SO many fics that have no idea how the shit works, that it's such a breath of fresh air when you do. SO THANK YOU OMG.

But yes.... loved it!!!

Sliding Doors is one of my guilty pleasure films, so when I saw this, I jumped right in - and it's amazing! I really loved how well you translated the movie into your universe - using the Zombie Apocalypse instead of Python was a master stroke. Frank feels like a breath of fresh air after Bert, but still flawed enough that you can believe Gerard's 'betrayal', and Gerard is really well drawn.

And the ending is just about perfect. ♥

It's one of my favorite movies ever, obviously! Lol.

Thank you for the lovely comment! I'm so glad it lived up to any expectations the movie might have given you. :) (And what else could I use but the Zombie Apocalypse? It fits them so perfectly. Lol)

Thank you. :D
