The last one is nice, but IMHO Ben Wishaw does not quite have the melancholy and decadence of Anthony Andrews.

I agree. I did like this one pic, but mostly it's a case of "not bad, but I've seen how it's supposed to be". And Andrews fits the image I have of an English gentleman-dandy a lot better, too.

Ooooooooh, i do so adore that mini-series. It's wonderful. And the book is so freakin' sad and perfect and slashy and sad....

The trailer for the new movie looks like they totally and utterly skewed the entire story, and i'm thinking it's gonna suck.
*sigh*

Charles and Julia were *not* in some sort of torrid, romantic fling! Arrgh!

But yay you for books and series, enjoy!

*nod nod nod*

*dreamy sigh*

I might just ignore the movie, unless I hear something good about it from someone who's opinion I can trust.

They are brilliant. Maybe you can find the DVDs in your Region 1 on amazon.com. Or read the book by Evelyn Waugh.

Brideshead is wonderful.
