You know those sneaky hidden traps Indy is always faced with? The ones he only survives through his Indiness and sheer luck (and that for some reason the bad guys manage to pass without any Indiness, to cause more trouble at a later point in the movie)? Favourite hidden deathtrap of this movie: Little scary brown people hiding in the woodwork. But that's it. They are on one level with the scorpions and monster ants. They do not talk, and although they are full of paint and have blowguns with poisonous arrows and bolas, they show no sign of culture, aside from hiding out in spooky ruins during night treasuring their history and trying to protect the remains of their ancestors' temples from white thieves. I think they are trying to be political correct and have replaced the scary brown people with boring, but historically sound communist minions.
