I am going to this: http://www.interactiveliterature.org/N/index.php

I am likely interested in:

After Party, for the Ars Amandi technique.  I have some suspicions about my own technique when I do romance plot.  I am curious as to how many of these things I do anyway.   However, I am hyperventilating at the thought of participating. It's an ( Read more... )

Of course you know Derrick. Our characters were best buds in Prophecy 3. :)

the Game of Thrones game was good when I played in it a couple of years ago, even for someone who had not read the books at that point. Derek writes a good game :D (Say hi for me)

Jez. What does everyone know Derrick?
How come I only met him this year?

I have not read the books. I tried, dear god I tried. But the main characters kept dying. I finally threw it down in disgust.
But it might make for a good LARP, now that you mention it..

It did make for a good LARP, and maybe the second time around won't result in the cops getting called.

The schedule is now up. You aren't too badly-off: one conflict, but otherwise in good shape...

That link tells me I am forbidden from seeing it. Do you have GM access?

Sorry -- my bad. No, I have Bidcom access, and they must have given us a peek at the schedule before it goes live. (Which isn't surprising, but I know they've been pushing to put it up as soon as is practical, and I lost track of when that was going to be.)

General schedule will be up for everybody sometime this weekend. We have 5 more games out to bidcom (which Justin is a member of as he noted) that still need to finish review and hopefully get on the schedule. Plus we are still doing a bit of rooms wrangling.

I am most intrigued by Alison's game, Mayfair in the Colonies. I've very rarely been disappointed by her games--they generally deliver a minimum level of fun, and some are really standout.

I've interested in Cirque du Fey, too, but... also hesitant, for various reasons. Mostly because I am a plot whore and I don't know that the authors write heavily-plotted games.

You know, for some reason Mayfair is just not doing it for me.
I don't have good reasons other than I am not an American History fanatic and I would have nothing to wear and no real interest in making anything appropriate to the period. My imagination needs to be fired up by the setting, the mechanic or the overall story arc. For Mayfair none of that is there.

I don't think that makes me a bad larper? Does it?
I'll let more excited people play.

Haha, no, it doesn't make you a bad larper. For my part, I don't really have any urge to play in any of the Jeepform/Nordic-style games. More for others, I guess.
