Ugh, sorry to hear you're sick, too. Wanting to do embroidery is definitely a sign of trouble. I'd seek medical attention immediately if I were you.

The rest of it sounds pretty damn good.

*Laugh* It's possible I've been convinced to do embroidery on occasion (proof), and I do love silk thread, but I'm usually more excited about the result of the embroidery than the process of doing it.

The early Autumn colds are going around. I keep dodging it, but, I expect to be hit with one soon.

Part of me really wants to make a new pretty (and warm) dress before Crown. My only wool dress is sort of old and sad, and, I've got some lovely green wool-silk.

You & your husband are very, very sweet. :)

Yay no headache! Fingers crossed.

Do you have a tub? If you do, hie thee to the McCormick rack at the grocery and buy a thing of ground ginger. Fill the bath with the hottest water you can stand, pour in the ginger, soak as long as you can, get out and wrap yourself in every blanket in the house and sleep until you wake up. If I have a cold, it makes the duration shorter. If I'm getting a cold, it can sometimes make it go away before it really starts.

And, of course, apply hot whiskey with cloves as needed.

RE: the weight, awesome.

RE: the maritial bliss, WONDERFUL!

This sounds remarkably like my father's cure for what ails you. A bath as hot as you can stand it and a glass of warm brandy, then straight to bed snuggled in blankets.

I hope the headaches continue to stay at bay and that the rest of you feels better ASAP.

Embroidery can be calming and comforting - when it's not maddeningly frustrating. Perhaps after the Crazy you're seeking calm. Or you're sick.

Falling in love over and over is amazing, especially after years of being with them. It catches you off guard in wonderful ways. That's the only reason I can explain for willingly washing Sean's zombie bloodied shirt at midnight every night this week.
