Okay. This really did take me a bit longer than I expected, but in the category of "better late than never"...

Fantastic how Sam mixes truth and lies to get Charlie to help him, and brilliant how Charlie is sucked into helping him after figuring out where he thinks Sam is coming from. I enjoyed how Charlie observes the differences in Sam after he ties him up, I think you nail Sam's increasing ability to be duplicitious (particularly through the use of his body language), although my favourite line is: Sam Winchester moves like a soldier. This can't be good. I think I like that line because for the most part, Sam railed against his (and Dean's) upbringing as warriors, and for someone else to note his behaviour in that way is some very clever writing ( ... )

I loved the way Sam ruthlessly used a combination of truth and lies when he was in police custody in "The Usual Suspects". So yeah, I liked the idea of him using "selectively edited" truth with Charlie. I find the different facets of Sam fascinating. Really, what I love most about the Winchesters is they are complex characters - what you see on the surface is far from the whole story with either of them (all three of them?).
The Eppes brothers? Gotta love 'em! Nuff said. ;-)
And yes, my thinking was that by going to see Charlie, Sam changed things and set in motion a sequence of events that put Charlie in danger of the arsonist. Hence Sam gets the warning vision, after he's met Charlie and started to change things.
You still got that Pretender trilogy? I still haven't seen the show, but what's this about
