(yes, please, pics!) And about that Rebel Flesh - I do say that most often, when I think I have the turns of the plot figured out, the Doctor Who writers surprise me. Therefore, I have no idea what's to come, but I share your Rory-worry (Rowrry? Or is that too Scooby Doo?). There is the normal 'gosh, I hope they don't kill his character off' rapidly supplanted by 'oh, right, he's still an Auton' and thence by 'Autons were bad guys, right? What if...'
I have always loved it when the Doctor travelled with more than one companion, even with Adric - the dynamics are different, and they lend themselves to multiple part stories, too.
We see it on Saturday nights in Canada, with a little blurb spoken by Amy at the beginning, about her imaginary friend - does anyone else get that?
I have to admit that I watch it via DL coz a) it airs a week later here in Oz and b) my TV has crappy reception for the ABC which screens it. So I don't know if Australians get and blurb by Amy first. I suspect not though. Certainly didn't have one for the Christmas special, anyway.
And hey! I LIKED Adric! I was gutted when they killed him off. Admittedly, I was only about 10 or 11 at the time. But some of my first fanfic (although I didn't know it was called that at the time) was stuff I wrote around the age of 12 and read to my school friends, about how Adric was actually saved by the Time Lords and taken back to Gallifrey
( ... )
I SO don't want him to genuinely turn Evil (I could probably handle a scenario where something evil takes over his body). But yeah, that's my great worry.
And I saw him in Little Dorrit AFTER I saw him in Doctor Who and Tip isn't a very sympathetic character, but I think I forgave him a lot because of Rory.
The stuff with Sooty is just HILARIOUS. I think Arthur Darvill was still in his late teens when he was on that show.
I was talking to a friend about it, and she pointed out that it really would be weird for a character who had spent 2,000 years being steadfastly good to go bad. It just wouldn't fit into the character arc. (He had his almost-going-bad crisis when he was a plastic weapon hands person) Moffat is a good and responsible writer, so I don't think he'd do that... so I don't think we need to worry. :-D
Yeah. I'm kinda holding on to those kind of thoughts with all my might.
Rory has faced down most of the "temptations" and he seems too unselfish to just go Evil without a REALLY good reason. And Moffat doesn't tend to go for too many "cheap" ploys.

I first saw DArvill as Tip in Little Dorrit, so it took me a bit to warm to him, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE him now!
