Yes, I am one of those who believe that Richard A. Knaak is an absolute hack, who not only has no gist of a clue on World of Warcraft's World-Building, but also makes characters on necessity, exactly like Christopher Paolini. His stories' design begins with:
A) What he would like to include: Races/Spells/Whatever,

Best-selling? PFFFFT. You know why they're best-selling? Because he's piggybacking on the established fanbase of other people, be it Dragonlance or Blizzard IPs. Knaak has *never* written a commercially successful original work; what little he has churned out failed absymally.

I don't care about Neltharion any more. Yeah, I can just keep telling myself that. Go on youtube and look for the warcraft 2 x-pack hero voices.

The bastard can sound like Evil Incarnate. Now, watch them completely rape his voice, amongst other things in Cat.

Oh, by the way, would you like to read Earthwarder?

Yes, he is publishing fanfiction. Quite poor fanfiction at that. His stories won't make it as a stand-alone project without Eragon-like publicity, and I think it's a little too old for him there.
