For the last 4 weeks or so, my family and I had the pleasure of watching a pair of robins take care of their young. It was so wonderful!!! However a few days ago the ordeal ended tragically. But here is their story, and photos to remember

If they didn't make it, don't feel too bad--it's just nature's way. In the wild, 50% or less of baby birds make it to adulthood.
If a predator did get them, it wouldn't be a blackbird--they're seed and insect eaters, they don't hurt other birds. The predators that would go after baby robins would be crows, jays, starlings, possibly even house sparrows. Cats, of course, are the #1 bird predator.
Anyway, if they did die, I'm sorry for the sad ending. I've raised a few batches of baby robins for release before, they're such sweethearts! I love the noises they make.
