I really hope that they show us a little bit of what's going on inside Dom's head tomorrow, because you've gotten me utterly convinced that it would happen exactly like this. You don't have some sort of sneak peak, do you? If the last few paragraphs aren't canon, I'll cry.
But yeah, I love the way this was both hilarious and tragic. I think I needed the naked speech and the man-eating crabs (I wear the cheese, the cheese does not wear me) to distract from the otherwise complete heartbreak. Poor Dominic.
I adore head!Adelle so fricking much, which is pretty awesome, considering I thought I couldn't love anyone nearly as much as head!Dom. “You don’t remember?” she asks softly, “When you were in the NSA. I was shot. You…you asked me to stay.”
“Don’t, please. Stay. Stay with me. Please.”
Ouch. Knife to the gun, that bit ( ... )

Ooh, symbolism. Great touch. Me likey.
This was an excellant, compelling and very believable take on what Dominic's nightmare and experiences in the Attic might have been. As another commenter said, I'm so glad you wrote this fic, because I was wondering where it was! (Also, naked Dominic reading love poetry. Bonus!)

Hehe. Glad you liked. I kinda thought it was too much drama, but then... *shrugs*

To tell the truth, this fic almost didn't get finished. I made around four different versions of Dominic's loop then head!Adelle refused to cooperate. Thank the writing gods for the press release and the promo pics. hee.

And now that he's out, he can always do that with Adelle. You know, when they they work out their issues. *nods head*

Been mega spoiled for the ep (Because I have no self-control like that. pszfth). I hear it's mega-awesome in general.

Some of those worst fears really are weird. Some even to the point of being funny. (Ex. Crab lady and Gumby world.) No wonder Dominic's personality mellowed out a bit...
“I’ve accepted it. I chase Arcane and try to stop him from killing. The reality changes but the enemy stays the same.” He mutters. This is what happens when Adelle isn’t around. Sometimes, he recites monologues. Other times, he hums the stupid song that’s been stuck in his head for ages. “I’ll never rest and I’ll never catch him.”
Ah ha ha ha! I remember finding this funny in the episode too. Poor guy must have lost his mind if he's started to monologue. That's something only supervillains are supposed to do, so that you can react while they're too busy talking to themselves.

Oh, the Gumby world was initially very disturbing. There'd be all these kids with Gumby and Pokey. Gumby and Pokey will be demonstrating to the kids how they "go through" walls and then makes the kids do it. The kids, since they weren't made of clay, hit their head on the wall and crack their heads open on the floor. So... yeah.
Poor guy must have lost his mind if he's started to monologue.
head!Adelle's presence kept him from doing that, hahaha!
And thank you. :)

I'm actually wondering now if the more outgoing Dominic is his real personality. Perhaps being the sarcastic/stoic type in the dollhouse was an easy way to disguise his true personality? (Hence a chattier/fluffier person during the drugged-out episode.)

Don't judge me but I watched Gumby when I was a kid and when I learned how Gumby and the donkey moved through walls, I thought about how that would work on people and my theory was that everybody will have a broken head or something. Heh.
I think the sarcastic/stoic type is Dominic's "default" mode personality, when he's with other people/strangers/co-workers/subordinate, and the chattier/fluffier is person is reserved for the people who know him...
