Animals know. They are experts at non verbal communication. And you do know that horses are very sensitive creatures. The only thing I have heard they are not good at is if their barn is on fire they try to run back in or stay there. You have to blindfold them out or so I have heard

It sounds as if you told your friend just eh right thing. AA is for people who want it. If it was for everyone who needed it the meetings would be overwhelmingly huge. In my opinion, though, people who show up at AA usually need it or they wouldn't go there in the first place. Only the person with the problem can make up his own mind and do something about it. People like me who are already in AA can be a resource. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. LOL. Good luck in your show!!

In Al Anon I remember now that they used to talk about planting the seeds. I gave him a gentle reminder. I am sure that in his private time alone that maybe anything I said at all could have sparked memories of any kind word said to him previously at an AA meeting. I used to go to open AA meetings because it was suggested I did so I kew what a botfriend was going through in early sobriety

Yes, once you get those Alanon "tools" they stick with you. You are right you can only plant the seed and watch the miracle happen if the person is willing. Good luck with your art today!
