I was a little worried when I saw the original postings of this because of the implied J/I, but at least one can read this and there's NO indication that such a thing exists, which is all I ask in the world.

The pairing of John Hart and Claude is a fabulous idea and you could Claude's voice and internal logic brilliantly. I especially liked the cold-blooded, practicality of the whole thing. Not even a hint of schmoop anywhere and of course the idea of John working for TW because the Company has Jack is very clever, especially oblique reference to Claire via Bennett.

Good stuff and further proof that there is much more to TW fic than the canon so-called pairing and that the better fics have none of it.

Well, I think between those two characters is this universe, schmoop is pretty much impossible. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I've never read anything outside of TW, but it's you, so I gave it a whirl. Very nice, realistic action, in-character. This bit here made me tee hee:

"“That’s a nice cloaking device,” the other man said, just the tiniest bit too casually. “Where’d you get it?”

“Salisbury,” he replied dryly. “I was born with it.”"

So are you making this a series? (Oh, and on that other one, I deleted the Lisa icon b/c it was so terrible. Poor Lisa.)

I did have plans for a series, but I'm not sure if it'll ever be written now. I've too much else to write!

We may as well just change her name poor Lisa, the dear.

I liked this. It was exciting and leaves me wanting more. I hope there is more.
