He's charming and cagey. But a variant of charming and cagey that I think signifies he's not got lingering upset off it. I think I'm missing a vowel intonation or significant verb conjugation, but I'm unfortunately not near fluent in Braxietel yet.

I think he might learn to resent you if you were without his invitation to be so. As you've learned is a fault among many Time Lords. But he is quite likely actually doing very well.

Death is not a matter that can be easily brushed aside, I've found, but it sounds to me you mean something more than that.

Just considering the Death Toll. It seems like a blessing, until you remember sharply and with a jolt a week later that you had died. Twice, now. And it wouldn't even show up on a mediscan. Then port-- port was it's own kind of unpleasant. Low grade and at the back of my mind. Little enough to complain about, really. Just a mood.
