OK, I am updating, and I might even try something new like cuts or something, cuz I’m feeling rowdy. I actually have a script due, but that’s so not happening because I’ve been on LJ or emailing all day with those crazy VeroniConners, and then I wonder why I don’t have a job… But a friend of mine got media passes for Serenity at Mann’s Chinese

I am pretty fascinated by Scientology too and am not even interested in religion in general. Maybe it's just the Jason thing. Who knows.
And I loved the bowling alley cuisine. Good stuff. No worries here. And definitely bowling next time.

Have a great time tonight. Sounds fun even if you aren't into the movie. Networking is always a good thing.

You're the second person on my LJ who mentioned the Serenity screening tonight! I wanna go! (Er, except, of course, that I still have the rest of the series to watch first. Damn. Oh well, guess I am resigned to waiting to see it with the rest of the general public.)

Have fun, though, and gl re: networking.
I am particularly grumpy today over non-TV issues entirely, so not getting to see Serenity tonight is really only very very grumpy-making because it would have meant a pleasant distraction from the thing I really WANT to do, but (1) shouldn't, and (2) have no one to do it with. *sigh*

I didn't hear about the contribution to the Katrina relief in JD's name at the con, but I'm interested. If they get back to you and haven't completely pissed you off, or if you decide to go about it another way, please let me know.
I'd be interested what you think of the movie (sans spoilers), as a not-so-much fan. I liked Firefly, but it has never been a huge thing for me. I'm sure the movie will be fun. But it'd be neat to hear your impressions.

I'm also interested in the contribution in JD's name. Basically what truemyth just said. I'd like to stay informed, however you decide to go about it. And by the way, I know a lot of Scientology lingo, having family members who are part of it. If ya need me to translate. ;)
I was so not looking at your curtains! Your apartment was awesome. As was the entire Con. You were a wonderful hostess.
I'm now craving the mac and cheese balls. So yummy. And bowling. Definitely bowling next time.
I like but don't love Firefly. I'm interested in the movie. And what you think of it.

She asked me, "Are you CC public?" I assume CC means Celebrity Centre, but does "public" mean "non-Scientologist"? Her title is listed as "Director of Success," and she's not the person who was orginally listed as the contact for hurricane relief, so I'm wondering if she responded to me because I came from the outside. I don't know.

I don't really know what the "Director of Success" thing is. I've never heard of that. CC public means you're one of the people that comes in, does courses or gets auditing, and goes. Has a normal job, life, blah blah. It means you're not on staff, basically. So you're not CC public.
Hope that was a tiny bit of help.

I'm down with donating in JD's name for the Katrina victims. I also dug the Scientology convo. I'm glad it was brought up!
Also, I wish I knew you when I was trying to have my art deco wedding. I totally had to abandon it because it was hard to stick to theme.
