I've heard lots of good things about DBT and would love to hear more about it sometime.
I think generally, losing 1-2 lbs a week is considered realistic and safe. So I am not sure how many weeks in a semester (for me I think it was 27?) so it sounds like you should be fine. I've started going to the gym and have found that it's been good for my mood as well.
Looking forward to seeing you again when I'm back in CA! (I'll be back for about a month from Thanksgiving till Christmas)
Well DBT is supposed to be 6 months to a year program, but the program I went to was a moth crash course. There are four modules: Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Core Mindfullness. Each module has skills you learn to help cope with thoughts and events that trigger self-damaging behavior. There's really lot to it.
Cool! Man, you take awesome classes. If you end up making any rings in the jewelry class, can I have one? I'm going through a ring phase. You don't have to, just thought I would put the thought out there. :)
