Yesterday, I was able to go to friends' LJ pages, and comment, too..and it lasted for a while. Well, at least today I can open my own LJ page ( Read more... )

Book Covering is a fine art, you know! :-) Then there also labels and stuff!

Actually, these days many school asks the kids (in lower classes at least) to leave the books in the school so that they don't have to carry it everyday. They only send some of the books back home with the child during the weekend or before tests. So the wrappers can kind of last the year, and it does actually protect the original cover, I think. Anyway, in a few years, everything will be on an iPad I suppose! :)

It was good to see you here yesterday...I wish somebody would figure out why you don't have consistent access to your friend's page.

Here in Spain, text books would get passed down for several years and it was a real savings for people with more than one child in school. But the kids here are required to cover their books in plastic...so much for green practices.
