No need to find parking. Just leave the car in the traffic, come over, have a cup of tea on the balcony, watching the stationary traffic, and go back and get into the car...

Kind friends have been suggesting that I do a car-delivery of teekaapisnakes after receiving orders on the mobile phone! I just have to go down and give the stuff to the grateful customers...and mint money!

Took me about 35 minutes from IIM-B to GD Mara today. Really stupid to have closed all the routes to BTM. I think that certainly was one reason. They should have left open at least one of the diversions.

And yeah, it beats me why they widened the road so much outside your apt. Really stupid, that is.

I hope it's only teething troubles. Otherwise I am done for.

I can only borrow the camera once a day Mr Evil Sadistic Grin...today it was the turn of Sumeet. Who is Sumeet? Check him out, he is more precious to me than any boyfriend, fiance, or husband....

Oh gosh! tell me about the mess. Last night i was stuck in a traffic jam at 11:30 in the night on banerghatta road. Can u imaginge a traffic jam at 11:30? and it was only the stretch uptill the flyover that was blocked.

i'd like to go give the chief minister a kick up his backside!

ohmigod, I thought the mess cleared up by 10pm or so...my neighbours (my3 included) are very optimistic, saying, the first few days will be like this and then it will improve...on what are they basing their cheerful prognosis?

I am not a traffic planner but my neighbor in India was one. According to him, unless carefully thought through, most flyovers simply shift the congestion from the intersection to the two/three ends of the flyover. Only in rare cases is a flyover really a good idea. Don't recall the details. I guess one can overcome this problem by building one way roads in two grades - one elevated and the other on the ground. :-)
