A couple of weeks ago, watched a Monty Python spoof and a Hamlet spoof by a local theatre group, which made a foul play of it...yesterday, watched Evam of Chennai do the same thing...it had me laughing uncontrollably! Evam is a very professional group, their comic timing is excellent, and they ad lib superbly too. What a difference the production ( Read more... )

yes, b on the w....maybe we should have LJ badges to identify each other! I basically like the 3 actors of Evam very much and they set me laughing even when I think the script is pretty inane! I saw the Sat evening show, having rushed in from beyond Sarjapura for it.

Hey, if you live in S Bangalore and like plays and concerts, then I certainly like to go with company....amoghavarsha, prashanthks etc etc do come with me. If I go alone, I love walking or cycling (puffpuffpantpant) to Ranga Shankara!

BTW...I am developing into a fairly keen, if still not very competent, birder and EVERY time I see a....b on the w... I think of you.... yesterday, see my LJ post, we got some beautiful pied kingfishers on the wire! That's a lovely username!

Walking to Ranga Shankara from your place???? Whoa, that is inspirational!!

No major inspiration though behind my username, that was the song I was listening to when I created my account (Leonard Cohen's birdonthewire). Thank you nevertheless! :)

Yes, would certainly be nice to join you on a trip to a play/concert. But usually my wife & I don't plan much, we just decide on the spur of the moment.

Also, if you are going to Lalbagh/any other birding place nearby sometime, and wouldn't mind a novice's company, will be happy to join, and learn a few things!! Wanted to ask you earlier actually, but somehow could never muster up & do so!

saw it yesterday with mom and sis, I agree that the Monty Python acts were done better by evam, and the involvement of the audience in the Hamlet spoof was super.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Hummm, may have to do something about that. Glad you had a great time.

well...many times, you make ME laugh heartily, for example, when you say, "let's not enquire why I am using permanent makeup or making my hair purple"...I understand perfectly, and laugh out loud!
