When a man in our community (Tambrams, or Tamizh Brahmins) attains the age of 60, he and his wife undergo a wedding ceremony again, this time with greater emphasis on the Vedic rituals, and the spirituality.

Yes, it is a nice renewal....we missed ours as the year KM turned 60, A lost a baby at the same time...and no one was in any mood to celebrate.and I suppose we didn't really want one later.

That's sad. I'm sorry (more about the baby than about the ceremony). I lost one between my two daughters so I know how awful it can feel.
