Sometimes one does not have to see many species of birds (or animals or insects) in order to feel very satisfied with a nature outing. And it is fun to meet up with so many like-minded people

I do love the owls but the sheer variety of what you spot each time just amazes me. The Pheasant-tailed Jacana is just lovely, too. I really enjoy seeing birds I'd never see here!

The first Shikra is a juv. The eye colour is neither yellow (female) nor red (male).
We saw the female as well later in the day.
