Oh Deepa ♥

I love your first photo, and your last one--but also, Rani Chennamma of Kittur! I went and looked her up--wonderful. So many excellent heroines in Indian history! And the photo of the boys on the bike reminded me of wakanomori's bike when we lived in Japan. He had it fitted with a seat in front and a seat in back, so that he could put both the tall one (not so tall in those days!) and the ninja girl on it and bike them to daycare before catching the train to the university (I was working, so I left separately).

I shall have to make a new icon, featuring Rani Chennamma of Kittur. Let's hear it for warrior queens!

Maybe in our way :-)

(still no Rani Chennamma of Kittur icon, but here's Rani Laxmi Bai!)

I also meant to say that I love your photo of the sign exhorting passersby to hope for expected rain.

Rain...is so important in this hot, dusty country of ours...

You do chronicles of your days out very well.
:)
There are Tata cars in Spain but not the little ones, mostly the ATV sort.

When I saw the last photo and its perfect reflection I just stared at it for a good long while.
I love the children on the bicycle!

I take some effort over these trip posts, because I might, one day,be housebound, and can live out these days once again... :)

I didn't know that there were Tata cars in Spain!

I loved the cycle scene a lot, too! Such an icon of boyhood!
